Action
Matter was taken up by the Senior Superintendent of Post Offices, Bengaluru East Division, Bengaluru
with the Postmaster, Yelahanka Post office. The articles were delivered to the security of the apartment
on 15.4.2020. The delivery staff was suitably instructed to make on-the-door delivery. Ms. Reethu
Ranganathan was contacted to ascertain the delivery of the articles, which she confirmed.

Issue: The employer’s request for fund to pay the salaries of his employees during lockdown period.

Grievance
Naresh Chetan, Director of Zaveri Bros Diamonds and Gold Pvt. Ltd. reminded the Hon’ble Prime
Minister that his Government has announced a number of measures to help small entrepreneurs like
them to overcome the crisis, including from the RBI to help businesses overcome cash flow. He thought
that it would help him in meeting his financial commitments for salaries of staff, Credit card payments
and Rents. He had an impeccable record with his Banker namely BOI in Coimbatore for the last 15+
years, he said. He needed funds to pay previous month’s salary and had used all funds lying in his saving
account and paid salaries to his employees on the 5thof April. He contacted his bank and was informed
that 20% of working capital could be provided to his company as emergency Covid-19 fund. Then
started his nightmare, he said, as his bank started to demand multiple documents and auditor certificates
