Civil Services Day April 21, 2009

The Fourth Civil Services Day was held on April 21, 2009 in New Delhi. The Vice President of India while inaugurating the Civil Services Day spoke on the role of Civil Service in an era of political coalitions.

Vice President, Shri Hamid Ansari, released a book on Innovations in Administration titled BYOB - Bringing Your Own Bytes compiled by the Department of Administrative Reforms & Public Grievances. The book covers various innovations successfully tried out by different Ministries/Departments. State/UT administrations, national and international organizations. Secretaries to Government of India, Chief Secretaries and Heads of other Services and various Central Services participated in the day-long deliberations.
