The main theme of the entire initiative was to provide a teaching aid to the School Teachers and
not to replace them in any manner. All the 50 Schools' Principals and Teachers have been engaged
actively throughout the year and their enthusiasm and participation in the entire program were key
to its success. They were made part of the entire process, from the presentations to selection to
being part of the nodal committee. They were also encouraged to become a part of the solution and
to help create video lectures and augment the digital content for the next academic session.
Results Achieved
The impact has been phenomenal. The MPBSE Class X State Board results in 2020 were used as a
yardstick to measure the benefits of the entire program. Having two sets of schools was an easy
litmus test. Here is a top-level summary of the results (please refer attached document for detailed
scores):
The school’s pass percentage went up from 19.19% in 2018–19 (prior to the intervention) to a
whopping 89.36% in 2019–20 with the implementation of the smart classes. The principal
attributed the success to the intervention. In his letter, he goes on to further request that the smart
classes be extended to cover all subjects (beyond Mathematics & Science, which is already
