15. On 20th December 2017, DeGS Bishnupur launched “Digital Bishnupur-Online Channel” under
the initiative of Prasanta Oinam, DM DeGS/CS-2.0 Bishnupur and under the supervision of DC
and DIO NIC/Member Secretary DeGS Bishnupur to provide digital awareness to the people of
Manipur in major local languages such as Manipuri, Kuki, Naga, and Tangkhul, etc.
16. One-day Digital Payments training for 20 FPS agents and 2 fertilizer dealers was conducted
by DeGS Bishnupur at DC Complex on December 20 2017.
17. PMGDISHA- Pradhan Mantri Grameen Digital Saksharta Abhiyaan: In Bishnupur district
total number of student?s registration is 1121and certified is 200 till now.
School children were involved in awareness campaign.
Impacts of the Programme
1. Karang Island, Thanga Part I Gram Panchayat, Bishnupur District, Manipur is also declared as
the First Cashless Island of India on 13th January 2017. According to the census report 2011,
Karang Island has 297 families residing. Total population is 1859. Literacy rate: Karang has
