b. Indirect Effect: Airline operations stimulate activity across the entire supply chain in a
region including aviation fuel suppliers, inter-modal transport services such as taxis and
              buses from airports, among others.

       c. Induced Effect: The direct and indirect impact of spending by people employed by

       d. Catalytic Effect: The contribution of air connectivity to economics of other industries

8. Under Lifeline UDAN, efforts commenced in March, 2020 helped operate 588 flights
transporting almost 1000 tonnes of voluminous cargo.

9. UDAN is a resilient scheme. Generally airlines are operating less than 50% of their allowed
schedules after recommencement (due to COVID19), about 70% of the allowed routes under
       UDAN are being operated.

UDAN is strengthening the overall aviation network by constantly endeavouring to achieve its
objectives; contributing as a meaningful tool to new India's vision for transformation.
